Who we are

Celebration Central Ltd (company number SC396519) sells through eBay and Amazon. Futura Fine Arts Limited (company number SC108525), known as Futura, supplies its stock and processes and dispatches its orders. They are separate companies.

This notice covers Celebration Central marketplace orders and the associated Futura Stocktaker application. Celebration Central is the controller: it is responsible for deciding how customer information is used to administer its sales. Futura processes information on Celebration Central's behalf to fulfil those orders. Futura does not use Celebration Central's customer information for its own marketing.

Futura hosts this notice on its website. This notice does not replace the privacy information for Futura's own website sales or for the marketplaces' separate services.

Contact for both companies

You can use the shared privacy contact for either company:

Email: ffa@futuraonline.co.uk

Post: Privacy enquiries, Celebration Central / Futura, 13 Colvilles Place, East Kilbride, Glasgow, G75 0PZ.

Please tell us which marketplace your enquiry concerns and, if available, your order reference. Do not send your password or payment-card details.

Information we use and where it comes from

Order information comes from the marketplace where you buy, from messages you send about your order and from delivery services. Depending on what is supplied, it includes your name, marketplace identifier, delivery address, contact details, order reference, items and quantities, order value and payment status, delivery instructions, tracking information, cancellations, refunds and returns.

Royal Mail Click & Drop is used to process and print marketplace orders and arrange delivery. The marketplaces operate their own account and payment services under their own privacy notices.

The Futura Stocktaker eBay integration also receives account-deletion notifications from eBay. It stores coded account references and request information to help identify and handle those requests. Coded references can still relate to an individual and are treated as personal information.

Why we use information

Celebration Central uses information needed to administer your purchase, arrange fulfilment and delivery, answer order queries and deal with cancellations, refunds and returns. The lawful basis is performing its sales contract with you, or taking steps you request before entering that contract. We need sufficient delivery information to supply your order.

Where personal information is needed to meet a specific legal obligation, such as applicable accounting requirements or your data-protection rights, the lawful basis is compliance with that obligation. This does not mean every customer detail must be kept as an accounting record.

Limited technical and notification records help protect the service and prevent forged, repeated or incorrectly matched privacy requests. The lawful basis for this security processing is our legitimate interests in protecting the service and avoiding incorrect action on someone's information. These interests must be balanced against your rights.

Futura fulfils orders on Celebration Central's behalf. Its separate invoice to Celebration Central does not create a consumer sales contract between you and Futura.

Who information is shared with

Celebration Central provides Futura with the information needed to fulfil orders. Delivery information is used through Celebration Central's Royal Mail Click & Drop account and shared with the relevant delivery provider.

Celebration Central holds the Render account hosting the eBay notification service, which stores the coded request records described above. Futura holds the BigCommerce account hosting this website and privacy page. Hosting providers handle information needed to operate their respective services. Hosting this notice does not mean Celebration Central's marketplace orders are copied into BigCommerce.

The marketplaces and delivery providers also use information for their own services and responsibilities. Their privacy notices explain those uses. A request concerning records held by different organisations may require coordination with the organisation responsible for each record.

Processing outside the UK

Our eBay notification service is configured in Render's Frankfurt, Germany region. Hosting and related services can also involve processing outside the UK in other countries, including the United States; choosing a European hosting region does not mean all processing takes place there.

We use Render under its standard subscription terms, which incorporate a data-processing agreement. For relevant UK transfers, that agreement provides for the Data Privacy Framework where applicable, with standard contractual clauses and a UK addendum as a fallback. Futura's BigCommerce website uses standard subscription terms with data-processing provisions covering international transfers, including UK contractual safeguards. These arrangements are designed to protect personal information when it is handled overseas. The published documents are available in the Render data-processing agreement and the Commerce data-processing agreement.

Royal Mail and the marketplaces explain international processing for their independent services in their own privacy notices. For details of the arrangements applicable to our processing, or a copy of applicable safeguards, contact our shared privacy contact.

How long information is kept

We adopted the following retention policy on 25 September 2026. Alan Browne oversees reviews of the information covered by this notice.

Printed marketplace order copies are not retained after dispatch. Electronic records can remain in order systems, correspondence and backups.

Applying this policy to older electronic copies and backups requires a separate review and cleanup process. That work is not complete. The policy's adoption does not mean existing copies have already been erased, and we do not promise a single automatic deletion period across all systems. We have not yet verified the retention setting for our Click & Drop account or the expiry of all backup copies.

A privacy request is considered individually; you do not have to wait for routine cleanup to ask us to act. Marketplace and delivery providers also have their own retention responsibilities for information they control.

Your information rights

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis for processing, you may have rights to access your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict its use or receive it in a portable form.

Contact our shared privacy contact to make a request. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity and find the relevant records. You do not have to close your marketplace account to ask about your information.

We assess deletion requests against the purpose for keeping the information and any applicable legal obligations or specific legal claims. Any reason for retaining information must relate to the particular record and purpose. It does not permit indefinite retention of unrelated information.

An eBay account-deletion notification is another way a request can reach us. Receipt or acknowledgement is not confirmation that deletion is complete. A response to your request should explain the action taken, any reason particular information must be retained and any outstanding action involving a service provider.

Your right to object

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact ffa@futuraonline.co.uk to exercise this right. We must stop that processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Complaints

Please contact us if you have concerns. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data-protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not need our permission to contact the ICO.
